Authentic Gyro Platters Await at Yia It’s All Greek to Me in Media, PA

August 22, 2017

If someone greets you with, “Yia!” in Greece, they’re saying hello. Expect a similarly warm welcome at Yia It’s All Greek to Me in Media. It may sit thousands of miles away from Athens and Mykonos, but the distance does nothing to detract from the authenticity of the Greek eats.

Regular patrons particularly praise the Greek gyro (AKA “yeero,” as it reads on Yia’s menu), and there are several ways to enjoy it. Order the Yeero Lovers Platter for a hearty portion of pork, chicken, or traditional beef and lamb gyro meat with a side of tzatziki sauce and some fresh fries. Or sink your teeth into the beef and lamb gyro sandwich on fresh pita bread, served with either fries or a Greek salad on the side. If you’re looking for something lighter, the Mykonos Island Salad comes highly recommended. It showcases grilled shrimp on a bed of crisp romaine, tomatoes, feta, olives, and parsley with house-made dressing drizzled on top and pita bread on the side.
