Millennial Summit’s #ArtShots Bring Pop-Up Art Events to Wilmington

February 26, 2018

Millenial Summit’s #ArtShots is an initiative to showcase local artistic talent in a fun and spontaneous way. These pop-up events are held at various locations throughout Delaware, but the details are only announced 24-48 hours prior to the event. Two successful #ArtShots events have already happened here in Wilmington. The first was at the University and Whist Club back in December, which featured artist Terrance Vann and musician Grace Otley, and the second was held in January at The Grand Opera House for exclusive access to the Delaware Symphony Orchestra’s Rite of Spring dress rehearsal.

The third event is happening this Wednesday, February 28 somewhere in downtown Wilmington. The location has not yet been announced, but details about the artists have already been revealed on social media. One of the featured artists is Eunice LaFate, a local folk artist who will share her advice on things she has learned over her 26-year career here in Wilmington, display some of her collection from her gallery on Market Street, and will live paint during the course of the event. In addition to Eunice LaFate of LaFate Gallery, the other featured artist is Delaware Poet Laureate, Al Mills of Twin Poets. Mills will provide some brief remarks as to his experiences and will also recite some of his work.

Register for #ArtShots No. 3 here to receive the event details as soon as they are released! You won’t want to miss out on this unique experience!

The idea for #ArtShots came out of the annual #MillSummit last year. The Millennial Summit is the region’s premier experience where young professionals, impact players, rising stars, and innovators come together to connect and grow. #MillSummit inspires attendees to speak up and get involved with their community, grow professionally, and connect with visionaries and innovators who are moving the needle.
